Julie K Mizzi was born and raised in the City of Chicago. She attended college at Illinois State University and majored in Accounting. She moved to Hinsdale in the early 90’s hoping that the suburbs would be a healthier place to raise her three kids, away from the drug use prevalent in Chicago. She has a long history of drug use/abuse in her family tree and has lost multiple family and friends to use. She owned her own business for a time, and then when family dynamics, including alcoholism, made the business go sour, she went to work for an international specialty engineering/construction firm where she works in business development.
